Manchester United have given winger Antony permission to travel to Spain to complete a loan move to Real Betis.

Antony’s move will be on loan until the end of the season with no option to buy, but Betis
will cover around 84 per cent of Antony ‘s wages, with bonuses depending on his performances. The loan
move is expected to save United around £1.5m over the rest of the season.
The Brazilian, who earns £105,000 a week, has made just 14 appearances for United this season.
He started 23 Premier League games in his first season, but this was reduced to just 15 last term. He has also failed to start a league game this term.

The loan deal is estimated to trim around £1.5million from United’s balance sheet for the rest of the campaign.
The move brings to an end — albeit temporarily — a hugely disappointing spell for the 24-year-old at Old Trafford since he arrived from Ajax a €100m (£84m, $102m) transfer in September 2022.
He made 23 starts in the Premier League in his first season with the club before that number fell to 15 last term.
Antony’s last start for United came in the Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
He is contracted to Manchester United until 2027, with the option to extend his contract for a further year.
